A person infected with measles recently travelled across Sydney, prompting a warning from NSW Health. The individual arrived in Sydney on Singapore Airlines flight SQ221 from Singapore, landing at 6:15 am on April 12. Following their arrival, they used the T8 train line to reach Central station and subsequently took the T1 line to St Leonards by 7:30 am.

Later that day, the infected individual visited the Only Coffee Project in Crows Nest between 2:30 pm and 2:45 pm, and Woolworths Crows Nest from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm. People who were present at these locations during the specified times are advised to monitor for symptoms, such as fever, runny nose, sore eyes, and cough for a period of 18 days. Those exhibiting symptoms should seek medical attention promptly.

Particularly at risk are individuals who are unvaccinated, have never been infected, or possess weakened immune systems. NSW Health has urged the public to review a comprehensive list of recent exposure sites available on their website to stay informed.

Residents are encouraged to take these warnings seriously to prevent further spread and protect vulnerable populations from measles.
