D4vd, the singer-songwriter known legally as David Burke, has been arrested in connection with the suspicious death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. Her decomposed remains were discovered last year in an abandoned Tesla, which, according to reports, is registered to Burke. The vehicle was found in the Hollywood Hills and has become central to the investigation.
The Los Angeles police confirmed that the 20-year-old Houston-born artist is currently being held without bail as they prepare to present findings to the District Attorney’s Office for evaluation of potential charges.
Authorities have been conducting an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding Hernandez’s death, which is linked to a grand jury investigation in Los Angeles County. Although the details of this investigation were meant to remain confidential, it was revealed on February 25 that Burke has been identified as the focus of scrutiny when his family members filed a court objection in Texas against subpoenas requiring their testimony.
So far, Burke’s representatives have not made any public statements regarding the allegations. As the case develops, it is expected that more information will come to light.
