Former President Donald Trump expressed his discontent while watching the Fox News program “The Five,” particularly taking aim at co-host Jessica Tarlov. He described her as “one of the least attractive and talented people on all of television,” criticising her voice as “grating” and lamenting that he had to switch her off. Trump accused Tarlov of disseminating “fake” Democratic talking points and perceived that she fabricated poll numbers without facing any rebuttal due to her lack of engagement.
Tarlov, who identifies as a liberal in a primarily conservative environment, participates in discussions alongside various hosts with differing political views on the show. In a dramatic outburst, Trump demanded her removal from the air, stating, “GET HER OFF THE AIR, SHE IS BAD FOR OUR COUNTRY!”
He further claimed that other notable figures from the network, such as Megyn Kelly and Tucker Carlson, were experiencing a decline in viewership. In his remarks, Trump insinuated that Tarlov’s presence on the network was harmful, reflecting his history of commenting on the physical appearance of female journalists.
Amidst this, he has been vocal on social media, particularly during a flight on Air Force One to Nevada and Arizona, sharing his frustrations regarding various political figures, including remarks about a judge who obstructed the construction of his ballroom and criticism of New York’s Mayor Zohran Mamdani.
Trump’s emotional commentary appears to underscore his continued involvement in the political discourse, particularly targeting media representation he disagrees with, while also expressing sentiments of perceived betrayal from past associates. His extensive and often confrontational rhetoric serves as an ongoing reminder of his polarising presence in contemporary politics.
