A manhunt is currently underway in Newcastle, New South Wales, for a prisoner who was mistakenly released this week. Kyle Quayle, aged 35, had been serving time for charges related to theft and assault but was freed from a correctional facility on Tuesday, leading authorities to issue a warrant for his arrest due to his unlawful release.
As the search for Quayle progresses, police believe he remains in the Newcastle area. To assist in locating him, law enforcement has released a photograph and provided a description: Quayle is of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, stands at 180cm tall, has a medium build, black hair, brown eyes, and is currently unshaven.
