The brother of Adelaide Crows captain Jordan Dawson, Jaryd Dawson, has been reported missing, prompting his family to seek assistance via social media. On Wednesday morning, Jaryd’s wife, Jessica, shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, urging anyone who may have seen or heard from him since 2:30 PM the previous day to reach out.
Residing in the coastal town of Robe, South Australia, which is approximately three and a half hours away from Adelaide, Jaryd has not been located. His disappearance has raised concerns, especially as reports confirm that both his wallet and phone have been found. Following this distressing news, Jordan Dawson decided to miss training for personal reasons, as stated by Adelaide Crows coach Mathew Nicks.
Jessica and Jaryd were married in October 2022 and recently welcomed a baby boy in September. The Dawson brothers share a strong bond, having grown up together in Robe where they also played football during their school years. Jaryd, a capable footballer himself, has received two best-and-fairest awards while playing for the Robe Roosters.
As the situation unfolds, the family and community remain hopeful for Jaryd’s safe return.
