Nick Adams, a staunch supporter of Donald Trump and a prominent figure in U.S. politics since moving from Australia, recently posted an AI-generated image on Instagram depicting Trump as a healer. He claimed, “America has been sick for a long time. President Trump is healing this nation.” Adams later removed the post, and it remains unclear whether he created the image himself.
The image featured notable differences compared to a previous one shared by Trump; in Adams’ version, a figure in the background wore a “Veteran” hat, while the same detail was illegible in Trump’s portrayal. Additionally, Adams’ depiction included a group of soldiers above the clouds, whereas Trump’s image contained less distinct figures, including a character suggestively possessing horns and wings.
In February, Adams shared another AI-created image presenting Trump as Jesus Christ, implying that the former president was bringing healing to America on a “biblical scale.” His claim reinforced the perception that Trump is a transformative figure, further establishing his alignment with the right-wing narrative.
Adams, originally born Nicholas Adamopoulos, renounced his Australian citizenship in 2021 and received a nomination from Trump to become the U.S. ambassador to Malaysia, later switched to a specially created role as the Special Presidential Envoy for American Tourism, Exceptionalism, and Values after the initial nomination was withdrawn.
Recent reports indicated that Trump’s housing finance chief, Bill Pulte, was instrumental in bringing the Jesus meme to Trump’s attention prior to its posting. Despite typically facing criticism, Trump opted to delete the controversial post following backlash from Christians worldwide, which is a rare move for him.
Trump himself has clashed with religious figures, including Pope Leo XIV, who highlighted the importance of peace. Trump responded critically, labelling the Pope “WEAK on Crime” and questioning his stance on foreign policy issues, particularly concerning Iran.
Despite allegations that his posts liken Trump to Jesus Christ, Adams dismissed such claims, insisting he thought he was portraying Trump as a doctor instead. This series of events underscores the provocative nature of Trump’s supporters and their efforts to elevate his image, both politically and culturally.
