A police spokesperson in Auckland announced this morning that officials responded to a “sudden death” on a Qantas flight travelling from New York to Auckland overnight. Investigations are currently underway regarding the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death, with inquiries being conducted on behalf of the coroner.
The Qantas representative confirmed that a passenger aboard flight QF4 had sadly passed away during the journey. Efforts to provide urgent medical assistance were made by both the flight crew and doctors who were on board, but unfortunately, they were unable to save her. The airline expressed their condolences to the deceased woman’s family and friends during this difficult time.
Following standard procedure, emergency services awaited the aircraft’s arrival to respond to the incident. Auckland Airport has been contacted for additional comments on the situation.
