Two men have been apprehended in western Sydney following allegations that they were involved in a planned violent crime, reportedly connected to a so-called ‘kill car’. The police discovered a range of incriminating items inside the vehicle, including a shotgun, jerry cans of fuel, sledgehammers, baseball bats, duct tape, cable ties, and pillowcases.

The investigation commenced early yesterday morning at approximately 2:40 AM, when authorities responded to a home invasion on Karangi Road in Whalan. Reports indicated that four men armed with a gun and hammer had forcibly entered the residence. Upon the police’s arrival, the suspects had fled in a black Mercedes SUV.

Later that day, officers spotted two men in the garage of a home on Issanthe Street, where they were observed transferring items from the Mercedes SUV into a Hyundai hatchback. The Hyundai was subsequently stopped by police after leaving the premises.

Following the traffic stop, both men, aged 22, were arrested, and a subsequent search of the Marsden Park residence was conducted by the Raptor Squad, resulting in the seizure of the black Mercedes.

The two accused have been charged with multiple offences, including the possession of unauthorised firearms, and both have been denied bail. They are scheduled to appear in court at Mount Druitt today.
