Jahream Bula has reassured fans that his recent injury, sustained during a match against the Raiders, is not severe. Late in the game, with the Tigers leading 26-14 and only 11 minutes remaining, Bula was seen walking along the sideline clutching his wrist after falling awkwardly while attempting to evade a tackle.
Despite the concerning moment, Bula appeared in good spirits as he chatted with the Tigers trainer while leaving the field. Phil Gould commented on the incident, noting that it didn’t look problematic during the tackle, suggesting the fall resulted in an awkward impact on his arm.
Subsequently, it was revealed that Bula had hyperextended his shoulder. In the moments following the match, he was seen with ice on his shoulder, which raised some eyebrows concerning his fitness going forward. However, Bula addressed his condition, stating, “It’s all good; hopefully back next week, nothing too serious,” during an interview with Nine.
In a post-match press conference, Tigers coach Benji Marshall confirmed the injury was not significantly worse than a previous shoulder issue Bula had faced the week before. Marshall indicated they would assess the situation further, but Bula’s optimism about his recovery was promising.
With the NRL season underway, the team and fans alike are hoping for a swift return for Bula, so he can continue contributing to the Tigers’ campaign in the weeks to come.
