Five men have been detained following the suspected abduction and assault of a man in western Sydney. The incident reportedly occurred late last night when the victim, believed to be a bodyguard linked to the Alameddine crime network, was forcibly taken from his home in Guildford and placed into his own vehicle.

At approximately 11:30 PM, police acted swiftly and intercepted the alleged kidnappers, who had forced the victim into a Ford Ranger, which was later discovered partially burnt out in Villawood.

An hour after the abduction, authorities managed to trace the victim to Casula, in the south-west of Sydney, where he was located and treated for facial injuries. He was subsequently transported to a hospital in stable condition.

The alleged kidnappers, identified as a group of five men, were apprehended near the Hume Highway in Casula, aided by the Raptor Squad. Police also executed a search at a nearby location, using members of the Tactical Operations Unit, as part of their investigation into the incident.

As of now, the arrested individuals have been taken to Liverpool Station, but no formal charges have been laid yet. A crime scene has been established, and inquiries into the abduction and assault are ongoing.

Authorities continue to investigate the matter thoroughly, with the public urged to remain vigilant and informed as the situation develops.
