Two men are on the run following a machete attack on a man during a botched robbery in Brisbane. The incident occurred early this morning around 6 am on Audrey Street in Camp Hill, where a 48-year-old man was sitting in his vehicle when approached by the assailants.
The attackers, armed with a machete, threatened the victim and demanded his car keys. When he refused to comply, he was assaulted, resulting in cuts to his arm and chest. Fortunately, his injuries were not life-threatening, and he was subsequently taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment.
The suspects fled the scene in a Kia Sorrento, which had been stolen from a Kangaroo Point property the previous night. Authorities have since located the abandoned vehicle nearby. Investigations into the incident are ongoing, and police are appealing for anyone with dashcam footage or CCTV recordings from the area to come forward.
