Three-Year-Old Girl Fatally Struck by Ute in South-East Queensland

A tragic incident occurred in Caboolture, south-east Queensland, where a three-year-old girl was fatally struck by a Nissan Navara utility vehicle. The accident took place around 6:45 PM as the vehicle was turning onto a street. Unfortunately, the little girl sustained critical injuries and succumbed at the scene.

Reports indicate that the child was walking alongside her family at the time of the accident. In the wake of this heartbreaking event, two women—aged in their 20s and 40s—required hospitalisation due to emotional distress. Additionally, a young male toddler was also taken to the hospital but is reported to be in stable condition.

The driver of the Nissan, a 49-year-old woman, remained at the location and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation by the Forensic Crash Unit. Authorities are appealing to anyone who may possess CCTV or dashcam footage of the incident to come forward to assist in their inquiries.

This tragic event has left the community in shock, and support services are likely to be mobilised for those affected by this devastating loss.
