An investigation is currently underway following two separate shootings that occurred overnight in Sydney’s west, with authorities linking the incidents. Police were dispatched to a residence on Columbine Avenue in Punchbowl around 2:45 am after receiving reports of multiple gunshots directed at the house. Witnesses indicated that individuals from an unidentified vehicle fired shots at the front of the property before fleeing the scene.

Shortly after, at 3:00 am, officers responded to a second shooting at another home on Noble Avenue in Greenacre, which is approximately 3.5 kilometres away from the initial shooting location. Similar to the first incident, shots were fired by occupants of a different unknown car, which also left the site prior to law enforcement’s arrival.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported in either incident. Crime scenes have been established at both locations as investigators work to gather evidence. Authorities are investigating the possibility that the two shootings are connected.

In an effort to gather more information, police are appealing for anyone who may have dashcam footage from the Punchbowl or Greenacre areas between 2:30 am and 3:30 am to come forward.

Anyone with relevant information is encouraged to contact the police to aid in their ongoing investigation.
