Australians stand to save as much as 80% on a staggering 11,000 household appliances during an upcoming auction, with bidding commencing at a mere dollar. Organised by Lloyds Auctions, this event features high-end items from renowned brands such as Smeg, Sony, and Dyson.

Lee Hames, the chief operations officer at Lloyds Auctions, informed 9News that the auction comprises a comprehensive collection sourced from a major appliance retailer, offering everything from televisions to air fryers. The inventory was acquired following an insurance claim related to smoke damage experienced by the local retailer, necessitating the rapid removal of the products. Around 50 truckloads were transported to Lloyds Auctions in just five days.

While many items are display models, rest assured that they remain in excellent condition. The total estimated value of these items is approximately $6 million, making the expected savings for buyers particularly enticing.

For instance, a Hisense appliance typically priced at $2,500 could be secured for around $1,000 through the auction. Hames emphasised the potential for significant savings, asserting the auction will offer substantial bargains.

The auction is scheduled over 12 days with 25 separate sessions, starting tonight, located on the Gold Coast. However, interstate buyers are encouraged to participate online, with shipping provided for boxed items, while display items will require pick-up only.

Overall, this is a remarkable opportunity for Australian consumers to snag high-quality appliances at a fraction of their usual retail prices.
