A tragic incident occurred on Goodwin Drive in Bongaree around 8:30 am when a cyclist collided with a Ford Falcon while both were heading eastbound. The cyclist, a 79-year-old man from Banksia Beach, sadly lost his life at the scene. Fortunately, the driver of the Ford did not sustain any injuries.
Authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the collision and are encouraging any witnesses to step forward with information.
