Notably, police stated that the shooter had no prior acquaintance with the victim.
Approximately 30 minutes later, authorities located the abandoned Rexton, which had crashed in Landsborough near Forestry Road. Following this, the suspect allegedly stole a grey Mazda 3. However, his escape was short-lived, as he was apprehended not long after near Steve Irwin Way. During the arrest, police discovered the firearm believed to have been used in the shooting within the stolen Mazda.
In a tragic development, it was reported that a woman and a man sustained injuries in the initial collision involving the Porsche. Regrettably, the woman has since succumbed to her injuries. As investigations continue, police have promised to issue further updates later this afternoon.
