The NRL is extending its reach beyond Las Vegas to the breathtaking landscapes of the Grand Canyon. Ahead of an exciting rugby league event at Allegiant Stadium, notable NRL players, including Raiders halfback Jamal Fogarty, enjoyed a thrilling excursion to Eagle Point, where they stepped onto the iconic Grand Canyon Skywalk. This glass bridge offers a unique experience by allowing visitors to walk over the canyon’s edge, standing an impressive 4000 feet above the gorge itself. Fogarty expressed his delight at having this adventure on his day off, highlighting the once-in-a-lifetime nature of the opportunity, while also joking about the club covering the costs of the trip.

The rugby league carnival will feature four matches held at Allegiant Stadium, a 65,000-seat venue situated near the Las Vegas Strip and home to the NFL’s Las Vegas Raiders. The culmination of this event will see the Wigan Warriors face the Warrington Wolves at 8:30 am on Sunday, followed by the Raiders competing against the Warriors at 11 am. The afternoon will host a women’s Test match between Australia and England at 1 pm, concluding with a match between the Panthers and Sharks.

Fans can catch all the action for free on Nine and streaming platform 9Now, where the entire lineup will be broadcast live, including radio coverage on Nine’s 2GB. Although the Wigan and Warrington team line-ups remain under wraps, players from the Raiders and Warriors have been announced, indicating an exciting day ahead.

In addition to the matches, there are various entertainment options planned for the event. The lead-up includes a Nines tournament at Silver Bowl Park and fan activities at Redtail @ Resorts World, where attendees can enjoy team Q&A sessions and a chance to win prizes. On the main game day, a vibrant fan zone at the stadium will welcome spectators.

With the NRL’s expansion into Las Vegas, fans can anticipate an exhilarating atmosphere enriched by top-tier rugby action amid stunning backdrops, presenting a blend of sport and adventure not to be missed.
