Exclusive: A daring arson attack in South Wentworthville was captured on surveillance footage. The security video, obtained by 9News, reveals two masked individuals dousing a car in the driveway and the surrounding street with a flammable liquid before igniting it.
Cumberland Police Area Command were dispatched to the scene shortly after 1am yesterday. Fire and Rescue NSW arrived to extinguish the flames, but unfortunately, both vehicles were completely destroyed in the incident.
A crime scene has been established, and investigators are actively looking into the case. The owner of the affected vehicles expressed confusion over the attack, stating he has no idea why he was targeted.
Authorities are urging anyone who may have information or relevant dashcam footage to reach out to Crime Stoppers.
