Nine Injured in Electric Shock Incident at Gold Coast School

A concerning electric shock incident occurred at St Hilda’s School, an all-girls institution in Southport on the Gold Coast, where eight students and a young teacher sustained injuries. This event took place around 3 PM in the school’s boarding house. Reports indicate that a wall had become electrified, leading to the injuries. Emergency services dispatched several ambulances to the scene; however, fortunately, none of the individuals required hospitalisation. The school is currently conducting an investigation into the incident to determine the cause and ensure student safety.
