Two individuals are in custody following a significant police operation in response to gunfire reported on the Bruce Highway, located just north of Brisbane. The police began receiving alerts about shots fired from a vehicle in Murrumba Downs around 1:20 PM today.
In a swift response, over 30 officers and numerous police vehicles pursued the car, identified as a black sedan, as it travelled through various suburbs. The chase progressed through Albany Creek and Eatons Hill, ultimately concluding in a cul-de-sac in Armstrong Creek where the two suspects were apprehended.
Fortunately, there were no injuries reported during this incident. Authorities are continuing their investigations to uncover the details surrounding the event.
