In a disturbing incident in Sydney, a 14-year-old girl was subjected to a brutal attack by three 13-year-old girls at a bus stop in Claymore, near Campbelltown, around 7pm yesterday. According to police reports, the victim was approached by the trio and threatened with a knife, leading them to force her to a secluded area on Longstaff Way.
Once there, the assailants allegedly proceeded to physically assault her, punching and kicking her. The situation escalated as they compelled her to remove her clothing, during which one of the girls reportedly used a phone cord to whip her while they recorded the assault. Following the attack, they fled the scene with her clothing, shoes, and phone.
Authorities noted that the attackers were known to the victim. In response to the incident, police utilised PolAir to locate the suspects, successfully arresting all three girls in Claymore. Their mobile phones were confiscated, and they were taken to Campbelltown Police Station, where they face several serious charges.
One of the girls has been charged with aggravated robbery involving an offensive weapon, coercing a child into creating abusive material, and possession of such material. The other two were charged with similar offences, including aggravated robbery and contributing to the creation of child abuse material.
All three suspects have been denied bail and are scheduled to appear in children’s court today. This appalling incident has raised concerns over youth violence and the alarming nature of the crime.
