In Sydney’s western suburbs, a lengthy five-hour police pursuit culminated in the apprehension of three teenagers in local backyards. The ordeal began around 3 am when officers received a report of a rideshare driver allegedly carjacked at knifepoint in Cranebrook.

After locating the purportedly stolen vehicle on Andrews Road in Penrith, police attempted to stop the drivers. However, they swiftly called off the chase over safety concerns. The vehicle re-emerged around 8:40 am, subsequently crashing into a parked car. Eyewitness footage captured the moment of impact, showing two teenage boys fleeing the scene.

Authorities managed to arrest a 17-year-old girl at the crash site, while two boys, aged 15 and 16, were pursued and apprehended on foot by police. All three were taken to Liverpool Police Station for further investigation, and fortunately, no injuries were reported throughout the incident.
