The Good Life Festival, a well-known annual event catering to teenagers aged 13 to 17, has announced it will not proceed in 2025 due to financial challenges. Organisers cited escalating operational and talent costs as the primary reasons for this decision, stating that these hurdles have made it difficult to deliver the high-quality experiences Australian teens expect.

Since its launch in 2010, Good Life Festival has served as more than just a music gathering; it has become a significant rite of passage for young Australians. The festival aims to provide an affordable, drug- and alcohol-free environment where teens can engage with live music and foster genuine connections in an increasingly digital era.

Over its 15-year history, Good Life has hosted many notable artists, including Macklemore, A$AP Rocky, Avicii, The Kid Laroi, and DJ Havana Brown. While the festival will not take place this year, organisers assured fans it will make a comeback in 2026, expressing optimism about returning even stronger.

This latest cancellation is part of a troubling trend within Australia’s live music landscape, as several festivals have faced similar fate recently. High-profile events like Groovin the Moo and Splendour in the Grass have been suspended for consecutive years, while Spilt Milk, Return to Rio, and Souled Out have also been called off in the past year. Additionally, iconic Bluesfest has announced that this year’s event will mark the end of its run.

The Good Life team expressed their commitment to returning and continuing their mission to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for young music fans, despite the unfortunate temporary hiatus.
