A man is currently recovering in hospital following an alleged stabbing by a teenage girl in Melbourne’s CBD early this morning. The 21-year-old victim was on Flinders Street, between Elizabeth and Queen Streets, when he was approached by the girl at approximately 5:30 AM. Reports indicate that she was part of a larger group of 10 to 15 individuals and allegedly stabbed the man, resulting in injuries that were not life-threatening. He was subsequently taken to hospital for treatment, and it has been revealed that he did not know the assailant.

As of now, no arrests have been made regarding this incident.

In a separate event nearby, police arrested a woman believed to have assaulted two other females. This occurred around 7:30 AM at the corner of Elizabeth Street and Flinders Lane, where the suspect was allegedly wielding a broken glass bottle. One of the victims sustained minor injuries and also required hospitalisation.

The assailant then reportedly attacked another woman at the intersection of Flinders and Elizabeth streets. Paramedics evaluated the second victim on-site. The arrest was made for a 35-year-old woman from North Melbourne, who is currently in police custody.

Authorities are continuing to investigate both incidents, and they are appealing for any witnesses or individuals with information to contact police or Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000.
