Taylan May, who is currently without a club, may have found a new opportunity at South Sydney after being spotted touring the Rabbitohs’ High Performance Centre in Maroubra. This follows a period of absence from the NRL, having been dismissed by the Penrith Panthers due to several off-field issues.

Reports from Nine’s Danny Weidler suggest that South Sydney is showing increasing interest in May, indicating that the Rabbitohs could be a potential landing spot for the former Panther.

In July 2024, May was let go by the Panthers and subsequently placed under the NRL’s no-fault stand down policy after facing arrest for domestic violence charges. These charges have since been withdrawn, allowing him the chance to return to the sport.

With South Sydney taking an interest, the possibility of May rejoining the NRL appears more promising. His future in rugby league now hangs in the balance as he explores this potential new chapter with the Rabbitohs.
