A 54-year-old woman, Vanessa Jacobs, appeared at Waverley Court today, accompanied by a lawyer and a friend, showcasing a $7,500 handbag and designer sunglasses. Known as a Tamarama mother of two, Jacobs was previously a contender for the reality TV series The Real Housewives of Sydney. She is reportedly facing allegations stemming from an incident on March 21, following a boozy lunch, during which she allegedly crashed her vehicle into numerous parked cars while driving on shredded tyres along Bellevue Road.

Eyewitnesses recorded the event as Jacobs purportedly slapped a police officer and resisted a breath alcohol test. In court, she entered a not guilty plea regarding the charges against her. Her legal team plans to present evidence in June aimed at pursuing a Section 14 mental health application. This application seeks to divert the focus from a potential criminal conviction, instead advocating for treatment or support options for Jacobs.
