Queensland police officer hurls speed radar at a passing vehicle

A police officer was conducting speed tests along Nicklin Way on the Sunshine Coast around 3pm today when a vehicle failed to stop as it approached him. Instead, the driver swerved past the officer, prompting him to throw his speed radar gun at the car’s window. Despite the officer’s actions, the P-plate driver continued down the road.

This incident took place within a school zone where the speed limit is set at 40km/h. According to Queensland Police, the officer’s actions were in self-defence, and it has been reported that the driver has several traffic violations on record. An investigation into the matter has been initiated by the police.
