NSW Police are maintaining regular contact with Max Veifer, the influencer who released a video showing Sydney nurses allegedly threatening Israeli patients. Superintendent Darren Newman confirmed that police are collaborating with Veifer to obtain a signed statement about the incident. The investigation, which falls under the Strike Force Pearl, is complicated by the need for legal compliance regarding evidence admissibility in Australian courts, given that the video was recorded in Israel.

Newman stated that while the investigation is ongoing, no charges have yet been laid against nurses Nadir and Lebdeh. Should charges arise, they may relate to using a carriage service to menace or harass. Veifer has been cooperative with the police from the beginning and expressed confidence that investigators have sufficient evidence, including his unedited video material. He shared his gratitude for the support he has received during this process, although specifics of the investigation remain confidential as it progresses. Police efforts are focused on ensuring any statement made by Veifer meets Australian legal standards, given the complexities involved in managing evidence from overseas.
