A police pursuit in Sydney’s west ended dramatically when a 21-year-old man crashed a vehicle into a house in Doonside early this morning. The incident began just before 2am when officers spotted a black hatchback driving recklessly on Earl Street. Subsequently, police attempted to intercept the vehicle on Judith Anderson Drive, but the driver did not stop, leading to a police chase.

The chase was called off when the vehicle veered off the road and collided with a home on Karuah Street. A nearby witness described the scene, reporting a loud crash just metres from their relaxation area. They recounted the terrifying moment: “We heard a massive bang and all we could see was a car on the side of our house,” noting that if the vehicle had strayed just two metres more, the outcome could have been drastically different.

Following the crash, police apprehended the driver, who was subsequently taken to Blacktown Police Station for processing. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported from the incident.
