The family of an 18-year-old girl from western Sydney, Aanisha Sathik, who has been missing for a week, has made an urgent appeal to the public for assistance. Aanisha was last seen leaving her home near Park Road in Auburn at approximately 1pm on Monday, June 23, without any mobile phone or money.
Authorities believe she may have travelled south along Harrow Road and entered Norman Park in Auburn around 3pm that same day. Recent surveillance footage has tracked her movements to the corner of Woodburn Road and Stone Street in Berala, where she was spotted.
Aanisha is described as having an Indian/Sub-Continental appearance, standing at 180 centimetres tall, with a slim build, long black hair styled in a bun, and brown eyes. At the time of her disappearance, she was dressed in a black hooded jumper, long black trousers with cream pinstripes, white shoes, and wearing gold earrings.
Police have expressed concerns regarding her welfare and are appealing to the community to report any sightings. Superintendent Robert Toynton from NSW Police has asked residents to keep an eye out for Aanisha, particularly near homes and yards.
In a heartfelt message, her father visibly emotional, urged anyone with information to come forward. He pleaded, “Please find my daughter very soon. We are asking you at home for help.”
The situation remains critical as both the police and Aanisha’s family continue their search for her safe return.
