A man has been detained following the tragic death of a 95-year-old pedestrian in Liverpool, south-west Sydney, on Thursday, May 25, 2025. Emergency services responded promptly to reports of a collision on Elizabeth Drive, where they discovered the elderly man suffering from severe injuries.
Despite the immediate medical assistance provided by paramedics, the man succumbed to his injuries after being transported to the hospital.
The driver involved, a 36-year-old man, was reportedly unharmed in the incident and has since been arrested. He was later taken to the hospital for routine testing mandated by law.
