At around 6am, two women unlawfully broke into a residence on Perkins Street in Calamvale, attempting to steal four puppies of the Staffy cross breed, according to police reports. Fortunately, a resident of the home was able to successfully grab hold of two of the puppies, but the women managed to flee in a vehicle with the remaining two pups.

Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the stolen puppies to either return them to a local police station or take them to a veterinary clinic.
