At approximately 1am, emergency services responded to an incident on the Gwydir Highway close to Hay Street in Waterview, Grafton, following reports of an assault. Upon arrival, police discovered a 35-year-old man who had sustained stab wounds inflicted by unidentified assailants while he was walking in the area. Authorities suspect that the incident was a targeted attack. An investigation is currently ongoing, and drivers are advised to steer clear of the vicinity this morning as police continue to examine the crime scene.
