Virginia Giuffre, a well-known accuser of Jeffrey Epstein who claimed Prince Andrew assaulted her, is reported to be in “serious condition” in a Perth hospital following a collision between a school bus and her vehicle in rural Western Australia. Her spokesperson stated that Giuffre’s original account had been contradicted by police, resulting in confusion regarding her injuries.
On her Instagram, Giuffre shared an image of herself in a hospital bed, covered in bruises, stating she was experiencing kidney failure and had been given four days to live. However, police indicated to CNN that the crash, which occurred on March 24, resulted in no reported injuries, and Giuffre’s family later clarified she believed she was posting on her private Facebook page when she made the alarming claims.
Virginia Giuffre has been a central figure in the allegations against Epstein, claiming that she was trafficked and forced into sexual encounters with his associates, including Prince Andrew, when she was just 17—an accusation the Duke of York has consistently denied. In her initial post, Giuffre mentioned that a school bus travelling at high speed collided with her car as it was preparing to turn.
The Western Australia Police described the incident as a “minor” collision, noting that the car endured approximately $2,000 worth of damage but emphasised that there were no injuries reported. Sources familiar with Giuffre’s situation confirmed she is in hospital but is not facing a life-threatening condition. While she does have bruising, there has been no clarification yet on their cause.
Her spokesperson reiterated that Giuffre remains in serious condition following the bus accident. After the collision, the bus driver, who had children aboard, left the scene to ensure their safety and later filed a police report. Giuffre returned home but subsequently became unwell, leading to her hospital admission.
In 2021, Giuffre filed a lawsuit against Prince Andrew for alleged sexual abuse. This resulted in an undisclosed out-of-court settlement in early 2022. Following this, Prince Andrew expressed intentions to make a significant contribution to Giuffre’s charity aimed at supporting victims’ rights, acknowledging the challenges she has faced as a victim of abuse and amid public scrutiny.
Jeffrey Epstein, the convicted sex offender, had previously pleaded guilty to state charges in 2008, and was indicted on federal sex trafficking charges in 2019. He faced accusations of orchestrating a long-term operation of sexual exploitation involving underage girls before his death in prison.
