The police reported that the vehicle, a Toyota Echo, veered off the road and struck the victims shortly before 5pm outside the Melbourne Showgrounds in Ascot Vale.
Authorities have stated that the driver, identified as 33-year-old Amer Dau, was on bail at the time of the accident. In light of these events, he has been charged with dangerous driving causing death, culpable driving, and committing an indictable offence while on bail.
