Man in critical condition after being ‘drenched in flammable liquid and set on fire’ in Perth

A man is in critical condition following an incident in Perth where he was reportedly set ablaze during a confrontation. The event occurred in Cloverdale at approximately 12:15 am, when a 42-year-old was allegedly sprayed with a flammable substance before being ignited. He has since been transported to Fiona Stanley Hospital, suffering from life-threatening injuries.

Authorities have indicated that the altercation involved two individuals who are acquainted with one another. In connection with the assault, a 46-year-old man has been apprehended and charged with grievous bodily harm. He is currently in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court later today.
