At the age of 20, Hiro found herself a new mother to her daughter, Emmy, but felt lost and unsure about where to seek help. This vulnerability and feeling of being overwhelmed took her down a troubling path. In response to her challenging experiences, Hiro partnered with Western Sydney University to establish Young Well Beings, a dedicated online platform designed to support mental health during the critical perinatal phase.
The initiative aims to provide essential resources and guidance for parents navigating the often tumultuous journey of pregnancy and early parenting. Recognising the mental health challenges many new parents face, Young Well Beings serves as a beacon of hope and support, empowering them to seek assistance and connect with others in similar situations.
Through her efforts, Hiro not only aims to help herself but also to reassure others that they are not alone in their struggles. The collaboration with Western Sydney University underscores the importance of accessible mental health resources for those during the perinatal period.
