Emergency services responded to an incident on Davies Road in Padstow at approximately 10:40 PM last night, where an 18-year-old man suffered critical injuries following a collision with a utility vehicle.

Before paramedics could arrive, bystanders attempted to perform CPR; however, the young man tragically succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

According to police reports, the driver of the utility vehicle allegedly failed to stop at a red traffic light prior to the incident. A 26-year-old man was subsequently arrested and taken to Bankstown Hospital for mandatory testing.

He faces multiple charges, including dangerous driving causing death and failing to stop at a red light. The man, hailing from Illawong, has been denied bail and is set to appear in Parramatta Local Court today to face the charges.
