Two suspects are on the run after committing a violent daytime assault in Melbourne. They fled the scene in a stolen white Subaru, which was taken during a frightening home invasion in Prahran. The latest victim, a 37-year-old woman, was attacked at Ezy Bay car wash in Cheltenham while vacuuming her car. Witnesses reported that she was visibly distressed, suffering serious injuries including a deep slash on her wrist and what appeared to be severe damage to her finger.

The male and female assailants stole her handbag and mobile phone before escaping. This incident follows another brutal attack on a 73-year-old man in Keysborough, who was also slashed multiple times just a day prior. The elderly victim’s wife remarked that her husband received cuts to his neck and face during the encounter with the offenders.

Witnesses described the home invasion that preceded the car theft, where the intruders demanded to know the whereabouts of an individual named Adam and threatened the residents with a machete when they claimed no knowledge of him. Police have been alerted and reportedly spotted the stolen vehicle in Patterson Lakes, although no further incidents were reported at that location. The assailants remain at large.
