Early this morning, around 4.50 am, an alarming incident occurred at a residential complex on Bowman Street in Pyrmont. Reports indicate that a man allegedly broke into a unit and attacked a woman, stabbing her in the head before fleeing the scene.
Emergency services attended promptly, providing treatment to the victim, who was subsequently transported to a hospital where she is in stable condition. Authorities believe the man and woman involved were known to each other.
At the time of the incident, another woman and two children were present in the unit but thankfully escaped without injury. The police have since cordoned off the area to establish a crime scene and have launched an investigation into the matter.
