Emergency services responded to a call around 1pm yesterday regarding a house on Burton Road in Athelstone that was consumed by flames. Despite the efforts of firefighters, the residence was completely destroyed by the fire.

The woman, who lived at the property, was taken into custody at the scene. During her arrest, it is alleged that she assaulted a female police officer.
