Police conducted a welfare check at a residence on Holroyd Court in Blackburn South shortly after 11am and made a tragic discovery. Inside the home, they found a 78-year-old woman from Blackburn South who had sustained multiple stab wounds and was deceased.
Shortly after the incident, authorities apprehended a woman from Ringwood nearby. Investigators are working on the premise that the two women had a prior acquaintance. The Ringwood woman has since been charged with murder and is set to appear before the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.
