A woman has been charged with murder following a fatal stabbing incident in Elizabeth East, a suburb in Adelaide’s north. Emergency services were alerted at 6:40 PM yesterday to a residential property on Bronte Crescent, responding to reports that a woman had been injured. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 28-year-old woman suffering from severe stab wounds to her chest.
The victim was quickly transported to a nearby hospital but, unfortunately, succumbed to her injuries shortly after. A 25-year-old woman was apprehended at the scene and, according to police, the two individuals were known to each other.
The arrested woman has been officially charged with murder and has been denied bail. She is set to appear before the Elizabeth Magistrates Court today. Authorities are encouraging anyone with information regarding the incident to reach out to Crime Stoppers.
