A man wanted by police pointed a firearm at officers on Calvary Court in Labrador this morning before fleeing in a stolen vehicle at around 8:15 am, as reported by Queensland Police. The stolen car was later stopped on Brisbane Road in Arundel, where a second altercation occurred around 9:30 am, resulting in the man being shot by police. Despite receiving immediate medical assistance from both police and paramedics, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is currently under investigation by the Ethical Standards Command, with oversight from the Crime and Corruption Commission.
