Western Australia is bracing for extreme heat, with temperatures soaring close to 50 degrees Celsius over the coming days. A heatwave alert remains active throughout the state following an exceptionally hot week. Forecasts predict maximum temperatures reaching the low to high 40s, while overnight temperatures will hover between the mid 20s and low 30s. Areas likely to feel the brunt of this intense heat include Karratha, Laverton, Leinster, Leonora, Meekatharra, Mount Magnet, Marble Bar, Newman, Paraburdoo, and Wiluna. Fortunately, the Bureau of Meteorology has indicated that these severe conditions should begin to abate early next week, offering some reprieve to the affected regions.
