This year’s theme for Vivid Sydney is "Vivid Sydney, Dream." Festival director Gill Minervini stated, "Everything starts with a dream, a wish, an idea." In 2025, Vivid Sydney encourages attendees to embrace bold dreams, encouraging exploration of their imagination and pushing the boundaries of conventional thinking. It’s an invitation to engage with new experiences and ideas without limits.
The festivities will feature captivating light installations that will illuminate the night sky over 23 days, from 6pm to 11pm each evening.
