Australia is gearing up to make an impact at Eurovision 2025, with SBS announcing that Marty Zambotto, also known as Go-Jo, will represent the nation. The event is set to take place in Basel, Switzerland from May 13-17. Zambotto will showcase his newly released track, “Milkshake Man,” during the contest.
Expressing his excitement, Zambotto shared, “It’s a dream to be part of Eurovision 2025, and I’m incredibly proud to represent Australia!” Born and raised in Manjimup, Western Australia, Zambotto’s musical journey began when his mother, a local rock musician, gifted him an electric guitar as a teenager. He initially pursued a promising career in Aussie Rules football before ultimately deciding to commit to music, deeming it his true calling.
As Go-Jo, he has amassed over 1.4 million followers across social media platforms like TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram. In 2023, he ranked as the ninth-most streamed Australian artist globally and has toured extensively, not only within Australia but also across Europe, the US, and Southeast Asia. His hit single “Mrs Hollywood” has achieved over a billion views across several streaming platforms, as well as more than 60 million digital streams.
Reflecting the adventurous spirit of his song, Zambotto described “Milkshake Man” as a way to encourage individuals to embrace their truest selves. He stated, “I can’t think of a better place to share that message than at Eurovision. It’s a dream come true to represent such a beautiful and diverse nation, and I’m excited to showcase my art and vision to Eurovision fans worldwide.”
