Manders’ attorney, Paul Slager, argues that established safety standards were not adhered to, resulting in devastating consequences. African Portfolio has denied the allegations, stating they merely arranged the trip and emphasising that the guides provided by Chiawa Safaris were trained professionals. They claim all necessary safety measures were enforced prior to the incident and have expressed condolences to the family. The case highlights the inherent dangers of safari tours and the responsibility companies have to ensure the safety of their guests in unpredictable wildlife environments.
