Police are conducting an investigation following a shooting incident at a residential property in Mount Druitt, a suburb in western Sydney, early this morning. The authorities received reports shortly after 1am regarding approximately 30 shots fired at a home located on Frank Street.
At the time of the incident, there were eleven individuals inside the house, including six children. Fortunately, no one was injured. A resident recounted a close call where a bullet narrowly missed his granddaughter.
Reports suggest that the shots may have originated from semi-automatic rifles aimed at the front of the home. Following the gunfire, the assailant or assailants fled the scene in a dark hatchback. In response, police established a crime scene and have been actively searching the area for any potential evidence throughout the morning.
