A 15-year-old boy has been arrested in Adelaide’s north for driving a stolen car while wearing a balaclava in the intense 30-degree heat. The incident began when police noticed the masked driver on Midway Road in Elizabeth East and attempted to pull him over, but he refused to stop. The pursuit continued until the vehicle, a Toyota sedan, was halted by police using road spikes on Hamblynn Road. Witnesses described a dramatic scene, likening it to an action movie as the car limped along on its rims, creating a loud grinding noise.
The young driver, from Andrews Farm, is now facing multiple driving offences, including the use of a disguise. He is currently in custody and is set to appear in youth court today. This unusual case has drawn attention due to both the age of the driver and the circumstances surrounding the pursuit.
